ABOUT BILL

Bill is an accomplished senior hospitality leader with more than 30 years of experience. He has a proven reputation for operational excellence, strategic growth and financial success. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Operations for Boyd Gaming, one of the largest and most successful gaming and entertainment companies in the United States. 

As the SVP of Operations for Boyd Gaming’s North Region, Bill was responsible for broad operational leadership and strategic direction for five domestic gaming properties located in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and Pennsylvania with a total of 1132 guest rooms, 5415 slots, 138 table games and 19 restaurants. His oversight included gaming and non-gaming operations, marketing, finance, human resources, security, capital reinvestment and facility maintenance, guest service and team member engagement. He led Boyd Gaming through a successful guest experience transformation that included designing and implementing the Guest Service Survey using the best-in-class company Medallia and led the “Operational Excellence” program developing consistency in operations across the company.

Prior to Boyd Gaming, Bill was the President of Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, FL where during his tenure the property was named “Best Casino Property” by Hard Rock International. He also previously held several senior leadership roles with Station Casinos and Harrah’s/Caesars Entertainment throughout Nevada and Mississippi including Vice President General Manager of Green Valley Ranch Resort where the property achieved the number one ranked property in Station Casinos for overall improvement during his tenure. He also served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Station Casinos - West Region, where he oversaw four gaming properties in Las Vegas. In addition, he served as Regional President for Caesars Entertainment’s Mid-South Region, developing and leading three gaming properties and implementing a corporate best practice “Leadership Summit” for management development. Bill was also the Executive Vice President General Manager of Grand Casino Gulfport, where his leadership resulted in the property receiving Caesars Entertainment’s top guest service score.

Bill has served on several boards during his career including the Liberty Bowl, Memphis Chamber of Commerce, Tunica Convention and Visitors Bureau and United Way in Memphis, Tunica, Reno and South Mississippi. He also previously served as the Chairman of the Gulfport Boy’s and Girl’s Club and the United Way for the Mid-South Gaming Division. Bill has been involved in the UNLV William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration’s “Mentor Program” and was named the inaugural “Mentor of the Year”.
